PAI 636031 is the aftermarket rear crankshaft seal (rear main seal) for Detroit Diesel DD13 and DD15 and Mercedes-Benz MBE 4000 engines, replacing Detroit OEM A0259975047 / 0259975047 and A0219975347 / 0219975347. 4.500" ID x 5.528" OD x 0.478" wide (114.30 x 140.41 x 12.14 mm). Press-fits into the rear cover at the flywheel end of the crankshaft to seal engine oil at the rear main bearing.

Signs You Need a New Rear Crankshaft Seal

  • Engine oil drip or wet streak between the engine and transmission bell housing
  • Oil-soaked clutch or torque converter housing pulled at PM
  • Oil consumption with no visible front, valve cover, or pan leak source
  • Oil mist or smoke from the bell housing area on a hot engine
  • Damp or oil-soaked flywheel face during a clutch job

Verify the seal bore and crankshaft sealing surface for scoring or wear before installing — a damaged crank surface will eat the new seal. Detroit recommends the J-47388-A (or equivalent) installer to seat the seal squarely.

The cutoff time for UPS Next Day Air is 12:00 PM CST. Orders for Next Day Air placed after 12:00 PM CST will ship the following business day.

Incorrect Shipping Prices
All Pro Truck Parts reserves the right to cancel any order in the event shipping rates are calculated incorrectly at checkout. We will notify you at your provided contact information to give you the option to pay the correct amount, or allow you to cancel the order for a full refund.

Shipping Destinations
All Pro Truck Parts ships within the United States only. We do not currently offer international shipping.

Damaged Shipments
All Pro Truck Parts is not responsible for damage that occurs in transit - responsibility for damaged shipments lies with the carrier. However, we are glad to assist by filing a claim with the carrier on your behalf.

If your package arrives damaged, please do the following:

  1. Refuse delivery if the package is visibly damaged at the time of arrival, and note the damage with the driver.
  2. If the damage is discovered after delivery, photograph the outer packaging BEFORE opening the box, then photograph the contents showing the damage.
  3. Keep all original packaging, including boxes, packing materials, and labels. Carriers may require an inspection before approving a claim.
  4. Notify us within 48 hours of delivery by submitting a damaged shipment report at help.allprotruckparts.com/damaged-shipment.

Once a claim has been filed, resolution is determined by the carrier. Refunds and replacements for damaged shipments will only be issued after the carrier approves the claim. Failure to report damage within 48 hours, discarding the original packaging, or opening a visibly damaged package without photographing it first may result in the carrier denying the claim, in which case we are unable to refund or replace the item.

Returns
All Pro Truck Parts offers lifetime returns for any reason on NEW, UNOPENED items in the original packaging with exceptions. (See sale items and special order items).
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Used items (if applicable)
Items marked as USED at the time of sale will be accepted for return up to 30 days from the date of sale. 


Defective items (if applicable)
Defective items under manufacturer warranty will be eligible for return, as well as a full refund for the total amount paid by the customer. The following criteria must be met to be eligible. (a). The part is under manufacturer warranty (b). the manufacturer has determined the part defective for the purchased application. 


Refunds (if applicable)
Once your item is returned and received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7 business days. For order placed by phone through a card terminal, you must call in to initiate the refund. 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded. 


Special Order Items (if applicable)
Special order items may be eligible for a refund. The decision to accept a special order item for refund is left solely to the All Pro Truck Parts management team. 


Exchanges (if applicable)

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, it is advised that you use a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
For returned items designated as "Free Shipping", any items shipped to the customer in which the customer did not pay shipping. All Pro Truck Parts will recover the cost of shipping to the customer's address from the refundable amount owed to the customer on the return and inspection of the item.
